Informations about computer collection vienna
computer collection vienna is a homepage about a private collection of classic computers and consoles.
About the collection
Computers produced from the companies Commodore, Amiga and Atari will be collected, as these were widely speaded in the 80ies and 90ies. My attempt is to have different models in the collection to show the differences and changes. But also computers from other companies are in the the collection, but often for reasons of space, not all versions and types. Generally, computers are collected in the period produced and sold from 1977 until about 1994. At that time the era of home computers ends because of the x86 PC architecture. But consoles - from 1977 until to today - are also collected. Mentioned here are primarily manufacturers such as Sony, Nintendo and Sega.

It is very important that all the accessories are in the collection. Starting with video cables and power supply in order to be able to use the devices are also many accessories such as floppy drives, extensions, modules and games are in the collection. Many devices are expanded with CD drives, hard disk, etc.

Goals
The computers in the collection are all (with few exceptions) fully functional and cleaned. If a item is new, it will carefully be selected, tested and repaired or cleaned to restore the original state. The aim is to collect and preserve the computers and make informations available here on the website to all and offer things and informations other sites don't have. Mention should be made here, especially the 3D models and the many high-resolution, detailed images. The motto "Experience Computer History" will be taken seriously. There are important tips on maintenance, use and storage. To upcoming problems such as the "Amiga keyboard" problem Computer Collection Vienna pointed it out first!

Device offer
You can find my own collection and what I'm searching for on the page "Colletion". If someone wants to sell a computer that is missing in my collection, please contact me with an offer!
Activities
Computer Collection also want to present and also keep in mind the old computers. On local meetings in and near Vienna there are always different computers and all people can play with the computers from my collection. There are always brought other computers to show the different models and so more computers will be powered up and not always the same one. Before the meeting everything is cleaned and tested to ensure a smooth operation without any problems.

Among the biggest presentations in Austria, which were presented by computer collection vienna in cooperation with Subotron, is a presentation in the museum MAK (Museum of Applied Arts) and the retro-area at "Game City", which withis the largest gaming-event in Austria with more than 78,000 visitors.
